Why global mission?

We’re so excited about knowing Christ that we want everyone to know him as well. In fact, that’s our whole reason for being here: to glorify God by knowing Christ and making him known to people of all nations.

The scope of God’s mission is global, and he uses his church to proclaim the good news. Here at St Alban’s we long to see every church member support God’s mission on a global scale.

We encourage each individual or family to focus their support on one of our mission partners. Find out more below.

Who are our global mission partners?

J & P (CMS missionaries)

J & P’s journey towards missions did not start as a married couple, but as individuals whose lives were transformed by the good news of the gospel. Their journey has lead them to Eurasia where they will be the first CMS missionaries in that location.

They will be partnering with other gospel workers on location, using their IT and administration skills to assist the local church that serves many nationalities and refugees. Despite the rich biblical heritage in the land, the host country has a great gospel need with only 0.04% of the population being evangelical Christians.

During the first term, J & P will be focussing on learning language and culture, which is vital for building meaningful relationships on location, whilst supporting the work of the local church.

India Gospel League

The India Gospel League bring sustainable transformation to villages throughout India. Our church has already completed two 5 year partnerships with churches in two villages in rural India, and we now partner with the church in Nimgoan Khairy. We partner with the local church to provide:

  • Medical services

  • Educational support for children

  • Vocational training for women

  • Community development

  • The good news of Jesus

How do I support a global mission partner?

Supporting one of our global mission partners is a personal investment in gospel work to the whole world.
