Calling all ladies!
Have some gorgeous clothes or accessories that you’ve worn a few too many times or longer fit, but that someone else may love? Come and refresh your wardrobe at the St Alban’s Clothes Swap! Enjoy a delicious supper, followed by a talk on sustainable clothing and then, let the swapping fun begin!
All proceeds go to the Women’s Transformation Group as part of the India Gospel League and all un-swapped clothes will be donated to Anglicare.
Wednesday, 8 August 2018, 7:00 – 9:30pm
St Alban’s Church Hall, Lindfield (corner of Lindfield Ave and Tryon Rd)
Drop off your 5 items of clothing at either the 10 am or 6 pm service at St Alban’s and we will sort out the rest for you. For hygiene reasons, please no shoes or earrings.
When can I drop off my items?
They can be dropped off at either a 10am or 6pm service on a Sunday prior to the event, to give us plenty of time to sort the clothes and accessories. If you can’t get to one of the services, please feel free to pass them onto a friend who can drop them off on your behalf.
I have less than 5 items of clothing to drop off, will that still be ok?
Most certainly – simply bring the items that you think someone else would love – it is 5 items MAX.
I want to try on clothes on the night, can I do that?
There will be limited change room space, so it is advisable to wear tights/leggings and a top that you can pop clothes over. There will be plenty of mirrors around so you can see how your new items look!
How can I take my new items home?
Please bring your own (preferably environmentally friendly) bag to take your new goodies!
I don’t think I am that fashionable – should I still take part?
Haven’t you heard that whatever is old is new? Absolutely!!
Hold on, I am still confused. What is a clothes swap?
According to Google…”A clothing swap is a party where you and each of your attendees bring an agreed upon amount of clothing and accessories to the event. All of the items are fair game, so you can trade, barter, and donate clothes to your friends while snagging some new stuff to breathe new life into your closet.”
